June Goals: New Job

New month, new goals, and…

I have a new job! I’m going to be working as a Junior Account Executive for a Sports and Fitness PR firm, something I’m incredibly excited about. Thank you for all your comments and support on my career change- I’m really proud of myself that I had the courage to take the chance of applying to something so different, and that taking that risk has paid off- I hope that it’s the start of something awesome 🙂

Yes, taking on an entry level role which pays a lot less will be a challenge, but I’d rather have a job where I look forward to going to work! And one which offers me opportunities to push myself, learn new things and open doors for the future.

I don’t start till the end of the month as I’m off to the Isle of Wight Festival for a week tomorrow, and didn’t want to disrupt my first few weeks in the office. I’m so looking forward to listening to some awesome music, stuffing my face with festival food and chilling in the sunshine (fingers crossed!).

June Goals: Moving On

This means June is a little disjointed in terms of exercise- I’m running the Nike Women’s 10k on the 21st, but other than that will just be trying to keep up some sort of consistency by training 3 times per week – whether that’s spinning, running and yoga or some other combination.

Who knows how that will go down whilst at the festival- I was thinking about packing my running shoes and trying to squeeze in a few miles round the island before the entertainment starts in the evening, but there aren’t exactly showers at a music festival and I didn’t want to add to the smelliness…

Once I’m in my new job, I’ll try to develop a routine and visit some of the new-to-me studios near the office – I’ll be based in Shoreditch so if you have any recommendations let me know!

Any tips on exercising at festivals? Or should I just chill out and enjoy!
