Preparing for the Shine Night Walk 2015

HAPPY WEEKEND!
I hope you have some great plans to get out and enjoy the end of September sunshine.
I’m taking on the Shine Night Walk Half Marathon this evening – walking 13.1 miles around the streets of London with some lovely ladies as part of #TeamSOLE!

I’m looking forward to taking in the amazing sights of the city all lit up at night, and experiencing a different sort of challenge to running a day-time half marathon.

As part of #TeamSOLE I know my feet will be taken care of with soft cushioned socks and mouldable insoles, but here’s what else I will be wearing tonight.

Preparing for the Shine Night Walk 2015

1. Lululemon Run Swiftly long sleeve top 2. SOLE socks 3. Runderwear 4. Shine t-shirt 5. Women’s Running Hoody (from marshalling- to put on afterwards) 6. Brooks capris 7. Brooks Ravenna 6 shoes

I’m sure there will be water stations along the way although I’m opting to wear my Camelbak for on-the-go hydration and for carrying snacks! I’ll also be packing my headphones although I imagine there will be a lot of chatting going on for most of the journey. And of course glow sticks, to help light up the night and truly “shine”!

1. Bounce ball and Trek flapjack 2. Glowsticks 3. Camelbak 4. Tissues 5. Flipbelt 6. Jabra Sport Pulse headphones

Do you think there’s anything I’ve forgotten?! I hope that’s enough layers – the forecast is to be dry but cold, although I think walking at a brisk pace will keep me reasonably warm.
