If you follow me on Instagram then you may already have seen that the last few weeks have been particularly eventful. After my company started struggling, I ended up interviewing for my own job, then being made redundant, which has lead to worrying about money and the future- creating one tense and stressed out Beki!

Fortunately in the middle of the mayhem, I was lucky enough to obtain a last minute ticket to the wonderful Savasana to Spa event, held by Secret Urban Escape. These guys (Tash and Iris) offer healthy lifestyle pop up events around London, designed to energise and inspire you, and help to escape the daily grind!

Savasana to Spa was a relaxing Saturday morning filled with delightful treats- we started with a 1-hour vinyasa yoga class, taught by the wonderful Katy Bateman (of Red Panda Yoga), followed by pampering and delicious breakfast treats.

I opted for a bright cheerful summery manicure, and the tastiest porridge pot topped with almonds, chia seeds, dried cranberries, toasted flaked coconut and a dollop of almond butter. Heavenly!

Sitting around just chilling out and chatting after the class was lovely too- I always enjoy spending time with people who share the same passions and interests, and it was great to catch up with a few friendly faces- including the lovely Bethan who was stretching her legs after Paris Marathon!

And it all took place in the most stunning venue – a converted railway arch in Hoxton, decked out with candles, cushions and yoga mats.

It really was the perfect morning to just escape from the world for a few hours, and I left feeling a lot lighter, and a little less overwhelmed.
