September Goals – Ealing Half Marathon

Another month, another list of goals!

This one mainly revolves around completing Ealing Half Marathon without dying and getting my first “official” half marathon time (after they messed up the timing mats at Windsor Trail Half!)

It will be a very different experience running by myself, instead of with my two brothers, and I’m hoping I can stay mentally strong throughout the distance. The course is very different too, with Windsor being along the river- scenic but no support- whereas Ealing is on closed roads around West London- so there should be a decent number of spectators. It also won Number One Half Marathon in the UK at the Running Awards this year so I’m expecting big things!

If you fancy taking part you can use the code “TwitEHM2014” when you sign up, which will automatically enter you into a draw to win a draw to win an Ealing Half Marathon official Hoodie or T-shirt.

Tweet and Win!
And if you’ve already signed up then there is an ongoing Twitter competition running as a special thank-you for entering the Ealing Half Marathon 2014.
Up for grabs for you to win is:

1 x Official 2014 Ealing Half Marathon hoodie
1 x Exclusive 2015 Ealing Half Marathon hoodie so you’re prepared for next year’s race!
3 x Ealing Half Marathon stickers
Taking part in the Twitter competition is easy: just tweet that you’ve entered the UK’s Best Half Marathon and encourage your friends to run it with you – using the hashtag #RunEalingHalf and @EalingHalf and the ‘Enter Now’ page URL http://www.sportsystems.co.uk/ss/event/EalingHalfMarathon2014

For example, your tweet can look like this;
On 28 Sep, I’m running the UK’s Best Half Marathon @EalingHalf. Enter today & #RunEalingHalf too http://www.sportsystems.co.uk/ss/event/EalingHalfMarathon2014

Let me know if you sign up, it would be great to see you there!
My other goal this month is simply to relax and enjoy the last “hurrah of summer sunshine” at Leah’s Hen Weekend which I’m super lucky to have been invited to 🙂
We’re heading to a villa just outside Barcelona and I cannot wait for drinks by this pool (especially after the Spitfire Scramble this weekend, race recap blog post to follow!)…

What do you have planned for September? Are you excited for Autumn or will you be hanging onto the summer for as long as possible like me?!

Beki x

PS. I have been given a Blogger place for Ealing Half, but I would have been running it anyway, and all thoughts on the race will be my own!
