WIAW : What I Ate Wednesday 19

Another mid-week treat with Jenn from Peas&Crayons!

What summery foods have you been enjoying this week? 


This is what I actually ate on Wednesday! 🙂

Breakfast
2 shredded wheat with frozen cherries (defrosted in the microwave), milk and agave nectar (forgot to take a picture, hence why the photo shows different fruit!)


Mid-morning snack
Nectarine from the office fruit box – yum!


Lunch
Sandwich on rye bread with ham, Saint Agur blue cheese spread and lettuce. Chunk of pork pie from a picnic and some cherry tomatoes on the side. 

I actually only ate one slice of the bread, in an “open sandwich” as it had gone a bit hard. It was the end of the loaf when I cut it and I think it was a bit stale. Still a tasty lunch though!

Dinner
A summery frittata with goats cheese, ham, and peas, with salad. We ate outside sitting on the bench in the garden although a persistent wasp kept trying to eat my food! 

Evening snack
Later on I had a cup of tea and two Tim Tams while we watched the first episode of The White Queen on iPlayer – this is a BBC adaptation of the Philippa Gregory book which I’ve read so was interested to see what the series was like.
