Fun Friday Links: Liebster Award!

Sara over at My Finnish Delights nominated me for a Liebster award the other day! It’s basically a way of spreading the blog love 🙂

These are the rules for the award:

1. Post 11 random facts about yourself.
2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you, then create 11 new questions for the bloggers you pass the award to.
3. Choose 11 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) to pass the award to and link to them in your post.
4. Tell them about the award.
5. No tag-backs.

So here I go!

My Answers to Sara’s Questions
1. Why did you decide to start blogging?
Basically as a fun way to document my life- my very first post was about moving house- and it evolved into a way to keep me on track with my exercise and healthy living goals.

2. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I love being able to look back on all the fun things I’ve done over the past year – some great memories. The social interaction with other bloggers and other runners is something I’m just getting into as well and it’s great fun!

3. What would you do if you won the lottery?
Besides buying an obscene amount of clothes?! Probably buy a house, go on holiday, and put the rest in savings. And of course help out friends/family- boring, sorry!

4. What are you reading at the moment?
I’ve just finished reading The Lazy Runner by Laura Fountain, about her journey from couch potato to running multiple marathons. It was really entertaining and loads of useful running tips too! I’ve also just started listening to the audiobook of The Kingmaker’s Daughter by Phillipa Gregory- I love historical fiction!

5. What is your favourite food?
Chocolate! Obvious answer perhaps but it’s a real special treat for me. I don’t eat it every day and love to try new bars and exotic flavours. My favourite classics are Dairy Milk Caramel and Creme Eggs though!

6. What is your best exercise tip?
Find something you enjoy! You’re far more likely to make an effort to exercise when you’re having fun.

7. Where is your favourite place to visit?
Australia! I spent a year studying there and it still holds a special attraction for me. Mark (my boyfriend) and I had a holiday on the East Coast last year which was awesome 🙂

8. What do you do when you want to relax?
Have a bath or read in bed with a cup of tea….mmm…

9. Do you prefer the city or the countryside?
Definitely the countryside! I’ve lived in the country for most of my life and whilst I’m enjoying being so close to London, with all the cool things the city offers, I do miss the green fields and trees…

10. What do you always bring with you when you travel?
Books! Or actually now, my Kindle- so amazing for travelling, I can take 300+ books with me in one tiny gadget, love <3

11. What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to you?
Erm…Tricky one! I don’t think anything particularly strange has ever happened to me that I can recall…will have to get back to you on that!

1. Which famous person would you ask to dinner and why?
2. Describe your ideal breakfast.
