Yoga Festivals :Om Yoga Magazine July/August

The latest Om Yoga Magazine is an awesome bumper edition for July and August, so is packed with great articles and features!

Last weekend I went to Latitude Festival in Suffolk- my first ever music festival, and one that is pretty chilled out and artsy too, with poetry and book readings, comedy and dance as well as some awesome music.

This months Om Yoga Magazine also features a Summer Yoga Festival Guide which I thought was pretty appropriate 🙂 Unfortunately I was a bit slow, so quite a few of these have already happened, but there are definitely some dates to put in your diaries for next year!

I also did my own quick search on some of the other Yoga Festivals coming up in the UK throughout the rest of the year.

Barefoot Festival 25th-28th July
If you get in quick (!) then this weekend, the Barefoot Festival in Leicestershire features a host of awesome activities from circus skills, music, burlesque and cabaret. They also have a dedicated Chill Out Tent with Yoga, Thai Chi and Meditation workshops to relax and rejuvenate.

Devon Yoga Festival 1st-3rd August
This annual not-for-profit event set in an idyllic location offers a weekend of sumptuous cuisine and a full timetable of yoga workshops, talks, music and dance.

British Yoga Festival 5th-7th December
Held at the British Design Centre in Islington, London this festival promises “FREE” entrance if you register beforehand. It features classes for beginners to the experienced yoga practitioner as well as activities regarding nutrition, meditation, green living and arts and crafts.

And of course there is the Om Yoga Show in London on 24th-26th October, with a host of workshops and exhibits.

This month’s Om Yoga magazine even has a competition to win tickets to Wilderness Festival on the 7th-10th August, so check it out quick! Featuring music from London Grammar and Burt Bacharach, banquets and feasts from a host of top chefs, numerous talks and debates, theatre from Shakespeare’s Globe and even archery and horse riding! (As well as yoga of course)- I may have entered myself, I would love to go! 🙂
