Happy November everyone! Time is flying by and I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since I relocated down to London and started my new job. So much has happened since then, not least meeting some amazing new running friends and achieving some awesome fitness goals 🙂

For the month of November I’m taking on a new challenge. My physio has been talking about how I need to focus on stretching my tight muscles and working on my flexibility to avoid injury, and how I “must keep doing yoga”! So for the next 30 days I’m going to be trying to incorporate yoga into my life every day!

“Yo-Vember”

I’ve signed up to the DoYouYoga.com 30 Day Challenge- 30 days of yoga in 10-20 minute long online video sessions which are sent directly to your email inbox one day at a time. (You can also find all of the videos already posted on their YouTube channel).

I did the first 2 this weekend and as they’re designed for everyone, even if you haven’t had any previous yoga experience, they’re absolutely at my level and pace. You don’t need any special props, and the classes are only 10-20minutes so I can easily fit them into my day, along with my physio exercises.

I was considering signing up to a monthly pass at a Bikram Yoga studio, and this is still something I really want to try.  But for the moment, being able to participate for free so saving money (very useful leading up to Christmas!), and not having to try and make it to a specific class is definitely appealing.

The only expense has been this yoga mat, which was recommended by the lovely Lissy. I bought mine from Amazon as then I got next day delivery, but you can get them direct from the Yoga Matters website too- and they come in lots of beautiful colours!

I went for “Ocean Green” 🙂

If you’re interested in making this November a “Yo-vember” then head on over to the DoYouYoga website to sign up for the emails, or check out the first video here to see if it’s your thing.

Comment below if you’re interested in joining me! 🙂
